Dear colleagues,

We are living in difficult times and for many of us, the idea of conferences and meetings is not at the top of our minds. Still, we need to look forward and, at least in my opinion, meeting each other in person and building collaboration and understanding are among the most important things we can do right now.

The NEDS 2022 conference will take place in Oslo in September. However, we can’t do this without your input. We are looking forward to hearing and discussing all the interesting research happening in the Nordic countries. Submit your abstracts now!

The abstract submission system closes on April 1st. Read more about the abstracts on https://nedsconference.com/abstracts/ or just go ahead and submit on https://neds2022.exordo.com/

Clinicians, welcome! The program for the conference is planned around important clinical as well as research themes. This time we offer invited thematic sessions with leading Nordic experts on binge-eating disorders, guided physical exercise, somatic complications, mentalization, and transgender. Join us to learn about and discuss current challenges in the treatment of eating disorders.

We also have something special for our new and coming researchers. We invite all young researchers (master students, PhD students and postdocs) to an event in conjunction with the Nordic ED conference in Oslo. The program includes short presentations and social interaction. Our ambition is that this event will be the first step in the formation of a Nordic network for young researchers in the ED field. The event will require pre-registration and a registration link is found on the conference website (see the bottom at the program page).

Please check the conference website for keynote speakers, preliminary program, updates, deadlines and other useful information.

Stay safe and take care of each other! We look forward to seeing you all in Oslo in September.

Sincerely,

Rasmus Isoma,
Chairman of the Nordic Eating Disorder Society
